Travel North from Edinburgh to the Forth Railway Bridge noting the defensive fortifications from WW2.

Thereafter continue North to the "Secret Bunker" a genuine Cold War Command Centre designed to accomodate 300 people deep underground beneath a dummy farmhouse in Fife.

Have lunch in the original underground Mess Hall or at nearby Fife Airport - a small general aviation airfield.

The tour then continues to the Montrose Aircraft Museum or the Blackwatch Regimental Museum in Perth - Depending on interest and opening hours.

An alternative is to travel North to the Forth Railway Bridge as before and then route South East to East Fortune - Scotland's National Museum of Flight.  Home to a wide variety of Military Aircraft , The R34 exhibition...the first airship to make a return trip across the Atlantic and, of course, the world famous Concorde!
