This unique guided tour is truly the perfect combination... in one unforgettable day we shall drive through breathtaking Scottish scenery to Highland Perthshire... and visit two, amazing and highly individual, chocolatiers.

You will be able to sample their highly acclaimed and extremely delicious hand-made chocolates and learn how their works of art have been created!

Our first stop will be at the little hamlet of Acharn on the shores of Loch Tay where Charlotte Flower lovingly creates her unique chocolates. There she believes in the alchemy of bringing pure and natural flavours together with cream and chocolate.

Her chocolates follow the seasons and she uses locally sourced products wherever possible. In winter her flavours are of fresh ginger or black pepper and orange; in spring the lovely and delicate flavour of elderflower or wild mint and in summer the luscious local fruits of raspberry or cherry.

After a delightful lunch... perhaps a picnic by the lochside or maybe you would prefer Scotland`s oldest inn The Kenmore Hotel built in 1572. Robert Burns stayed there in 1782 and etched a poem, which can still be seen, into the fireplace... We shall drive on for our next experience of chocolate heaven!

This we will find in Grandtully – a small conservation village sitting on the banks of a dramatic stretch of rapids on the River Tay.

Legends of Grandtully Chocolate Tour

Here we will visit Legends of Grandtully which is home to Iain Burnett – "The Highland Chocolatier". Iain is a master craftsman of exquisite chocolates and has trained under master chocolatiers in Belgium, Switzerland and France before returning to his homeland in the heart of Scotland. He creates his magic with gourmet chocolate using premium-grade cocoa beans from African and Caribbean plantations blended with Madagascan vanilla and pure cocoa butter.

The resulting chocolates are mouthwateringly irresistible... velevet cream and spiced truffles, 70% premium dark chocolate pralines, hazelnut giandujas or whole candided fruits dipped in chocolate.

Iain works with many top chefs on creating new chocolate dishes and is also renowned for supplying many of our top hotels with his delicious chocolates.

After this wonderful day of delights... we must return to Edinburgh... unless, of course, you wish the chocolate adventure to continue to another day!
