On this private guided tour we travel south to experience the gentle rolling hills of the Scottish Borders Countryside famous for its sheep, salmon, stately homes and castles.
There are various options on this trip but a delightful day is to drive to Melrose and explore its historic abbey dating back to 1200s and also the quaint town itself before going to Abbotsford, the beautiful and fascinating house of Sir Walter Scott built overlooking the banks of the River Tweed.
Then we drive back through the stunning countryside perhaps stopping for an ice-cream in the old mill town of Innerleithen or detouring to Traquair House, the oldest inhabited house in Scotland with its own brewery and ancient gates... never to be opened until a Stuart King returns to the throne!
